I know I’m not beautiful but today is my birthday, hope I still receive everyone’s wishes

Cari was a small, scruffy dog with a unique appearance. Half of his face was jet black, while the other half was pure white. This unusual marking made him stand out from the crowd, but it also made him a target for ridicule. People often commented on his appearance, calling him “half-and-half” or “two-faced.”

Today was Cari’s birthday, a day that most dogs looked forward to with excitement. But for Cari, it was a day filled with dread. He knew that he would be ignored or even teased by the other dogs at the shelter.

As the day wore on, Cari huddled in the corner of his kennel, his heart heavy with loneliness. He watched as the other dogs played together, their tails wagging with joy. He longed to be a part of their pack, to have a friend to share his days with.

Just when Cari was about to give up hope, he heard a familiar voice. It was Sarah, a kind-hearted volunteer who had visited the shelter many times. She had taken a special liking to Cari, despite his unusual appearance.

Sarah approached Cari’s kennel and knelt down to pet him. “Happy birthday, Cari,” she said, her voice filled with warmth. “You’re a very special dog.”

Cari’s tail wagged slightly, but he couldn’t help feeling a pang of sadness. He knew that Sarah was just being kind. No one would ever truly accept him.

As Sarah was about to leave, she stopped and looked at Cari. “You know, Cari,” she said, “beauty is more than just skin deep. It’s about who you are on the inside. And you, my friend, are one of the most beautiful dogs I’ve ever met.”

Cari’s heart swelled with gratitude. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly seen and loved. As Sarah walked away, Cari watched her with a newfound hope. Perhaps, just perhaps, his birthday wasn’t so sad after all.
