Ori was a small, brown puppy with a heart full of joy. Today was his birthday, and he was excited to celebrate with his family. He had been dreaming of a day filled with treats, toys, and lots of belly rubs.
But fate had other plans. As Ori was playing in the backyard, he accidentally stepped on a sharp object. He let out a yelp and limped over to his human, his tail tucked between his legs. His paw was bleeding, and he was clearly in pain.
Ori’s family rushed him to the vet, where he received treatment for his injured paw. The vet assured them that he would be okay, but it would take time for his paw to heal. As Ori was being bandaged, he felt a wave of sadness wash over him. He had been so looking forward to his birthday, and now it was ruined.
When Ori returned home, he was greeted by his family with hugs and kisses. They felt terrible that he had gotten hurt on his special day. They tried their best to make him feel better, but Ori couldn’t shake the feeling of disappointment. He just wanted to feel happy and loved.
As the day went on, Ori lay on the couch, his injured paw propped up on a pillow. He watched as his family played with their other pets, their laughter filling the room. He longed to join in the fun, but he knew he couldn’t.
Just as Ori was about to give up hope, he heard a soft whimper. It was his kitten friend, Luna, who had been sitting quietly beside him. She nudged his paw gently, her eyes filled with concern. Ori smiled. He knew that Luna cared about him, even though she couldn’t understand his pain.
As Ori looked at Luna, he realized that he wasn’t completely alone. He had his family’s love, and he had Luna’s friendship. And maybe, just maybe, his birthday wouldn’t be a total disaster after all.
