A Fight for Survival: Parvovirus and Extensive Medical Care
The puppy, later named Flir after the thermal imaging camera, was lethargic, vomiting, had a high fever, and lacked an appetite. He was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic where he was diagnosed with a severe case of parvovirus. His condition required round-the-clock care, and rescuers knew that without immediate intervention, he would not have survived the night. Flir spent a week with two different emergency veterinary teams and received two blood transfusions.
